Yale-NUS College provides an environment that supports a rich student life involving a wide range of student events and student organisations. The vision of the Hispanic Students Association (HSA) is to be a representative voice for Hispanic cultures, rights and issues. The HSA seeks to share the diversity and distinctiveness of Hispanic cultures with the wider Yale-NUS College community, fostering tolerance and dispelling stereotypes while enhancing the international and cosmopolitan ethos of the College. Our organisation has hosted Latino and Spanish Cultural Awareness weeks, bringing ambassadors from five countries to our campus, conducting cooking and dance workshops, screening movies and hosting lectures. We are currently working on expanding our connections with the larger Latino and Spanish communities in Singapore, and in setting up partnerships with academic institutions at Yale.View Website »
‘From Europe, for Everyone.’ We are a group of students sincerely dedicated to nurturing the Yale-NUS community’s tremendous diversity by spicing it up with a spark of European-ness. Fox & Hedgehog, founded by three Yale-NUS College students in the inaugural class, is a publication that aims to connect the subtleties of Global Affairs with the larger picture. With a tea of over 30 from every continent and multiple universities, Fox & Hedgehog uses its global team to cover the people and places not written about in traditional media.View Website »
The Yale-NUS Global China Connection (GCC) is part of a global network (headquartered in New York City) of more than 60 university chapters that is dedicated to building relationships between the future leaders of China and the international community. We aim to foster an engagement with traditional and contemporary Chinese culture, and build corporate links between youth leaders and professionals with a Chinese focus. More than 2,000 youth leaders from across the globe are currently involved in GCC Global’s development. We have chapters at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Cornell and Fudan. Our alumni spans major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Boston, New York City and Washington DC, and have gone on to work at in a range of leading organisations such as the World Bank and LinkedIn.View Website »
The Yale-NUS International Relations and Political Association (YIRPA) is one of the largest and most established student groups at Yale-NUS College. Our mission is to increase awareness and engage the community in dialogue over international and political matters through a myriad of distinctive programmes. YIRPA operates internationally and organises events ranging from the largest Model United Nations (MUN) conference in Southeast Asia, to dialogues with prominent local figures called Coffeehouse Conversations, and everything else in between.
