“Strategies to Increase Adoption of Welfare-Improving Behaviours in Developing Countries”

Between 10 and 11 September 2018, prof. Ahmed Mushfiq Mobarak (Yale School of Management and Yale Department of Economics) visited Yale-NUS College, where he presented results of his research during the Global Affairs Roundtable, and delivered the Global Affairs Annual Lecture “Strategies to Increase Adoption of Welfare-Improving Behaviours in Developing Countries”.

Prof. Mobarak’s research focuses on the ways to induce people in developing countries to adopt technologies or behaviors that are likely to be welfare improving. His research has been published in numerous journals, including Econometrica, Science, The Review of Economic Studies, the American Political Science Review, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Demography. He received a Carnegie Fellowship in 2017.
